The Udine Golf Club, founded in 1970 in Fagagna, in the heart of the moraine hills a few kilometres from San Daniele and Udine, combines the pleasure of playing golf with an exclusive and relaxing landscape.
The path is characterized by dense vegetation, with over 7,000 trees present inside the field and the constant presence of the storks in the morning and evening. The 18 holes, harmoniously integrated into 63 hectares of field, were designed by architects John Harris and Marco Croze. From the summer of 2013 to August 2017, they have undergone major changes, thanks to the agronomist Fulvio Bani, in order to make the golf course a context where it is possible to play international competitions, such as the European Senior Tour, an annual appointment since 2016. From January 2018 the golf course has become one of the prestigious European Tour Destinations. Thanks to the constant quality in the golf course’s maintenance standards and the attention to the environment, the Golf Club Udine has achieved both the GEO Certification and the “Engaged in the Green” certification.
The Club House has been completely renovated and features Villaverde Bar & Restaurant. A welcoming and informal environment that features large windows and large terraces overlooking the panoramic golf course.Â
The practice field is of interest, which covers over 33,000 square meters in which there are two distinct structures: one dedicated to the long game and one to the short game. The building for the long game is spread over two floors with 10 covered ground stations and as many on the grass. The stations are lit, and partially heated. On the upper floor there are 13 artificial grass seats. The structure has toilets, a ball distributor and parking for golf cars. In addition, there is an opposing area joined by connecting roads that allow 35 players simultaneously.

A walkway connects the golf course to the Villaverde Hotel & Resort **** S, whose reception can book both the Tee Time and registration for the competitions in the name and on behalf of the golfing guest, with the Golf club’s secretary.
